I see opportunities for painting all around me. The roadside grasses, the clouds, the late afternoon sun and I enjoy the challenge of capturing the reflections of rocks and clouds in the water. Every painting I do, I look for a challenge. This helps me to develop my techniques.

Artist Biography

A landscape artist from Cambridge who has travelled extensively but is currently focusing mostly on New Zealand Landscapes.

Kirsten can paint in acrylic and oil – and uses acrylic to create an underpainting to create lots of different layers.

A limited colour palette is used; aiming to tie her works together and establish a consistent style whilst also representing the rich colours of the New Zealand landscape.

Many of Kirsten’s work have sold to collectors both nationally and internationally.
