Creating unique sculptures re-using and recycling metals from all sorts of places!
With a career in engineering starting almost 30 years ago, Nathan Hull’s passion for metal is brought to life with sculptures that are skilfully designed, incredibly strong and finished with an artful eye.
Unconsciously picking up stray washers, nuts etc anywhere and everywhere making a starting collection of interesting scrap in those early years, Nathan found himself with an ideal range of skills and experience to recycle these discarded parts into a full time career of award winning masterpieces in public and private commissions nationally and internationally.
With a drive to keep challenging himself and learn new techniques, a large variety of recycled materials including copper, stainless steel, cutlery, old tools and even machinery parts, are drawn from to create these innovative pieces.
Working with plenty of wild inspiration up in a secluded piece of land tucked up in the Uruti Valley of rural Taranaki, nature and fantasy themes have regularly presented in his personal pieces, though grateful to be successful in a range of aesthetic styles, mixing a seemingly delicate tone yet still maintaining a feeling of immense strength and stability where creations develop their own individua personalities without effort.
Full time metal artist.
We are looking forward to hearing from you about your dream art piece.
