 I started this painting of Cuvier island during lockdown and it was my anchor though the heartache of the Covid epidemic and the political and social breakdown that consumed the world. 

 While mankind suffered and lashed out at each other the landscape and seas healed and became calmer and cleaner than it had been for many years. 

I find much peace and serenity in this painting.
